Why did you become a mental health professional?
I lived overseas for 20 years and spent 10 of those years in Jordan working with Iraqi and Syrian
refugees. I saw the traumatic impact of war and decided to pursue a degree in counseling with the
desire to specialize in trauma counseling to help people process past trauma and work to overcome the
impact of these experiences.

What are your interests outside of work?
I enjoy hiking, biking, gardening, camping and being outdoors. I also enjoy traveling and spending time
with family and friends.
