Therapy Style & Education

Approach:

My primary focus is to help clients discover the best version of themselves in a safe, non-judgmental environment. "Only when we are brave enough to explore the darkness will we discover the infinite power of our light." -Bene Brown.

Therapy Style:

As an Air Force Veteran, I have an extensive knowledge of military and veteran concerns. My approach to therapy is eclectic to custom fit the needs of any client. With a trauma informed lens, I seek to make therapy available to diverse and underserved populations such as the LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent people.

I am here to establish a trusting and helping relationship with each client. Mental health is the balanced development of the individual's personality and emotional attitudes which enable them to live harmoniously in their community. My goal is to establish a trusting relationship with each client to ensure they feel seen, heard and understood.

Education:

Alaska Pacific University, AK
MS-Counseling Psychology 2020

Park University Parkville, MO
BS- Social Psychology 2017

Community College of the Air Force
AS-Applied Science 2011

Get to Know Ann

Personal

My mother is a recovering addict and alcoholic; she is now clean and sober for the last decade +. I became a therapist because I wanted to understand why people do the things they do. I always wanted to learn how to be the best version of myself possible.

What are your interests outside of work?

Outside of work I enjoy nature activities such as hiking, 4 wheeling, camping, fishing and traveling. Some of my favorite indoor activities include art, music and theater.
